Here is a quick weekend wooden tray makeover. I got this cute wooden tray for $4. It was in a pretty rough condition….and I had some great idea in mind for this little fella.
This is the tray before:
So I took off the handles and gave it a quick sand.
Wiped it down so it was free of any dust or dirt and primed it.
I had a project ( will be my next post, actually) where I decided to tryout a chalk paint. So I had some left and used it for this tray.
This is how it looked after 3 coats:
I wanted to use stencils for this tray…french-themed stencils. So I ordered one from amazon . I really like it. Usinf Behr charcoil color paint I used my brash to brush it on:
Cute, isn’t it. Sanded it a bit just to smooth it all out and covered with 3 clear coats of Varathane. Distressed a little on the edges.
And here it is… all ready and in use.
Enjoy your day! 🙂
